National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA)First established back in 1967, the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) was officially chartered by the U.S. Congress. This independent, nonprofit organization is a coalition of leaders involved in organizations and public management. They strive to tackle many of the complex and crucial challenges the nation faces today.

The original concept of NAPA was to assist leaders in the public sector in their effort to meet many of the challenges in management. It was also designed as a way to help anticipate many of the future issues, to find ways to circumvent them.

National Academy of Public Administration Strategies for Public Sector Issues

The National Academy of Public Administration continually undertakes critical work involving issues with the public sector, to develop effective strategies. Their efforts help to anticipate, analyze, evaluate, and eventually make recommendations on the nation’s complex and crucial challenges involving policymaking, governance, operations, and public management.

With more than 750 Fellows, the National Academy of Public Administration continually enhances the accountability, performance and quality of the work provided at the government level. The comprehensive wealth of knowledge and expertise within the Academy arises from its Fellows. Many of these Fellows are individuals that have unique experiences as a former or current member of:

  • Presidential Cabinet Members
  • Undersecretaries and Department Deputies of the Federal Government
  • Assistant Secretaries of the Federal Government
